After finding an amazing orange leaf whilst drawing in nature, I marvelled at the colours within that one delicate leaf. I wanted to capture that beautiful colour in my artwork. I love how the orange pops against the aqua and purple. This artwork is all about fun, mess, exploration and doing something different. I was in the moment mixing colours, wetting them, letting them run together, and the result was a rain storm. Have you ever run out in the rain just for fun? The feeling is pure freedom. This girl is immersed in that freedom, embodying the storm and all the emotions within it. She is wild and free, sensual and defiant, saying “this is me!”
